I'm an ART DABBLER......a little of my photography

This was a hard shot because they NEVER stand still. :) Love my dogs!

Jager, standing in the glare from the sun...

Love this shot.

Good ol' Brewskie

These are just a few of my MANY photos that I have taken. I just never seem to post anything....BUT NOW HOPEFULLY I WILL! :)

2nd grade letter monsters

A letter "P" for penguin! TOO CUTE!

ok....so I have a small obsession with CONSTRUCTION PAPER CRAYONS! They are so fun to use because they are bright and colorful. As you can see, I LOVE COLOR!

1st grade fall projects

created using crayon and GLITTER watercolors!!
I wanted to do pumpkins and scarecrows so I mixed my classes in order to both. :)

3rd grade PERSPECTIVE

This project was so fun to teach! Many children at this age draw, what I call, space roads. Roads that literally go to the sky. :) So I taught them how to make a road disappear or have a vanishing point. THEY LOVED THIS LESSON! BIG HIT! I could tell all of my students were super proud of themselves. :) I also showed my class different blending techniques using oil pastels. :)

3rd grade name monsters

This was soo fun and the kids really liked making something silly out their name! :)

4th grade TUGRAS

these are 4th grade Tugras. These are super fun to make and I always do this lesson at the beginning of the year to remember names! All you need is a circle template. :)

A few more of my pieces...

This was a gift created for a woman at school. Her furry friend of 13 years passed away and so I decided to draw a piece in loving memory for her. She literally cried when I gave it to her and of course I'm tearing up just writing this...I truly enjoyed making this! Such a beautiful dog. :)
created in colored pencil

Another gift for friends! I love making these because it is such a personal gift that keeps on giving! ANNDD.....I simply LOVE TO DRAW! :)

A wedding gift for my friends. Created in pencil.

My favorite piece of my dog. Created for my husband as a gift. :)

Created a year ago. Abstract painting using acrylics.

MY art! A little of what I do...along with the ceiling.

Yep! I love to do portraits!! Contact me if you want something made.....

The start of ceiling art!

My Dad is CRAFTY

Because a 4-sided drawing board is SUPER expensive, my crafty Dad made one for my room!! I then Kroger graciously donated milk crates for seats! CRAFTY I TELL YA! :)

my paper towel has a face!

OH YES....I turn everything in my room into something! HAHA! Who would have thought a paper towel holder could become a monster! GEESH!

My table names

For easier transition in my classroom, I named my tables (hince the feet) after famous artists. I have 7 tables all with a different name. The kids love it and are constantly hearing that name over and over again! So we learn a little art history each day.

MORE ROOM

I can't even begin to tell you how many hours I spend outside of school in here! :) I LOVE IT!

MY ROOM

Just a few pics of my room. ENJOY! :)

another display :)

TCE

this is a picture of "recycled penguins" and crazy monsters. Both are projects from 2nd and 4th grade! TOO CUTE!

Display

Ok...so since my school didn't have enough money to buy display panels for over 400 pieces of work...I had to get REALLY creative so I contacted HHgregg for refrigerator boxes! YEP, I went GREEN! This was super crafty and the butcher block paper was a PERFECT fit! AND.......they are REALLY easy to put up and take down.

3rd and 4th grade

This is a 3rd and 4th grade class of GT students. So, we decided to mix things up in art and make CRAZY heads with paper mache! After making the heads, we painted them and made up silly names. TOO FUN! :)

art show...

another view of my art show. OH...this was an ALL SCHOOL art show. Every student from 1st-4th grade had a piece of art work hanging! OVER 400 pieces!!! WHOOO! It was a ton of work, but it really paid off! :) and yes, I'm the one and only art teacher.

and more.....

Art Show!

Just a few pics of my art show last year! GREAT AUDIENCE!

Welcome to Art Spark!

Thanks for checking out my blog! I've created this blog to share my ideas and passion as an artist and ART TEACHER! I'll be posting my latest lessons, projects, and personal art. Hopefully I can inspire artists just like me all around! Feel free to use my project ideas and share your thoughts. Keep in mind, some of my projects are NOT my original idea, but have been passed along through many teachers, resources, and friends. AND, of course, I have been inspired by little people of grades 1st-4th. ENJOY and have fun CrEaTiNg!
